SAFETY ENGINEER
Riyadh - Saudi Arabia
Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and enforce health safety and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on-site.
- Conduct regular safety inspections risk assessments and site audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Labor Law Saudi Building Code (SBC) and relevant regulations (e.g. Civil Defense Royal Commission Aramco/NEOM standards if applicable).
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation including incident reports checklists PTW (Permit to Work) and safety records.
- Assist in developing Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and safe work method statements (SWMS).
- Lead toolbox talks safety inductions and training sessions for workers and subcontractors.
- Monitor high-risk activities such as working at heights lifting operations hot works confined spaces scaffolding etc.
- Support incident/accident investigations and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure all personal protective equipment (PPE) is used appropriately and maintained.

Coordinate with project managers consultants and clients on safety matters.

Promote a strong safety culture across the project.
Key Qualifications:
- Diploma or bachelors degree in engineering or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

Mandatory certifications:

NEBOSH IGC
-
OSHA / IOSH (added advantage)

First Aid / Firefighting training (preferred)

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience (depending on project).
- Experience with construction infrastructure oil & gas or industrial projects (as required).

Strong knowledge of Saudi safety regulations and industry best practices.

Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an added advantage.

Ability to work in fast-paced environments and ensure compliance under pressure.
