Analytics Platform Specialist
Basic-Fit is Europes largest low-cost fitness chain with 5 million members and over 1500 clubs. The Data Platform Team sits at thecentreof our data-driven operations supporting Finance Marketing Operations and Leadership with reliable well-governed data.
As an Analytics Platform Specialist you own the standards governance and enablement layer of our Power BI environment. This is a role for someone who takes pride in getting the platform right:notjust functional but scalable consistent and trusted across theorganisation.

How Power BI is used and governed across theorganisation
The visual standards and storytelling guidelines teams rely on
The semantic models and shared metrics that underpin business decisions
The self-service capabilities that allow teams to work independently from the central data team
How AI features in Power BI are evaluated and adopted
If something does not work well today the expectation is to improve it not work around it.
Responsibilities
Platform Governance
Define and enforce Power BI standardsacross data models naming conventions visuals refresh strategies and access management
Own andmaintainthe semantic layerand shared business metrics used across departments
Manage workspaces row-level security and platform costs in collaboration with governance and engineering teams
Evaluate and adopt new Power BI capabilities including Fabric Premium and AI features such as Copilot and smart narratives
Visualization Standards
Establish andmaintaincompany-wide guidelinesfor dashboard design layout and data storytelling
Review and improve shared dashboardsto ensure clarity consistency and performance across teams
Identifyand implement best practicesthat help stakeholders move from data to actionable decisions
Stakeholder Enablement
Enable self-service analyticsby developing templates guidelines and reusable components for use across the business
Deliver training and documentationthat reduces reliance on the central data team for routine reporting needs
Act as the primary point of contactfor Power BI questions supporting both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Identifygaps in self-service adoptionand introduceappropriate guardrailswhere needed
The team
You will join a multidisciplinary Data Platform Team working alongside Data Engineers Analysts BI Developers and Data Scientists. The team supportsnearly everydepartment at Basic-Fit andoperateswith a strong bias towards collaboration ownership and continuous improvement.
What we are looking for
Proven hands-on Power BIexpertise including DAX semantic modeling Power BI Service and performance optimization
Strong understanding of data modeling facts dimensions measures and how they translate intoBI layers
Experience governing a Power BI environment: workspaces access management row-level security and refresh management
Demonstrated ability to enable and upskill othersthrough documentation templates or structured training
Strong communicator able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
Familiarity with Databricks SQL Power BI Fabric/Premium or AI features within Power BI isadvantageousbut not.
