Reliability Technologist

Job Summary:

TheReliabilityTechnologistisresponsible forimproving operational performance (OEE)thruimproved technical performance ofthe plant rolehasspecific responsibilities related to Preventative Maintenance programs and maintenance training programs.

JobResponsibilities& Tasks:

• Partner with other Technical Services teammembersand Maintenancepersonnelto prescribe plan and ensure effectiveness of preventive and predictive maintenance processes for the changes asappropriate.

• Create and updates the maintenance plans (equipmentFMEA spare parts technical documentation)

• Establish and own the adjustment sequences of equipment.

• Own the red point process

• Help to define the indicators of maintenance communication board

• Suggest solutions for the elimination of obsolete equipment

• Collaborate with the Parts Room Specialist Maintenance Supervisors and Technical Servicesteam membersto standardize andoptimizethe parts room inventory levels while meeting MTBF and cost requirements.

• Partner with Maintenance Supervisors inmaintainingeffective organization of the maintenance workshop including organization5Sadherence etc.

• Provide technical expertise to the plant maintenance team in troubleshooting activities.

• Assume ownership for development and execution of one or more reliability programs which may include metrology management red pointmanagementor training programs.

• Developmaintainand implement maintenance training programs.

• Facilitate maintenance training and technician qualification/validation in partnership with Maintenanceleadership.

• Collaborate with Reliability Engineers tomaintainand improvethe CMMS software system (CORIM) including maintenance task management practices technical profile management etc.

• Design or edit the equipment tree as needed to support proper information input/output

• Train others how to use the CMMS and the desktop tools for monitoring malfunctions

• Create implement and audit maintenance indicators and inform of any deviation

• Participate in the development of maintenance budget (for major planned maintenance)

• Suggest and implement the structure changes of CMMS to be more efficient

• Collaborate in the design of engineering proposals to ensure maintainability of equipment.Manage and lead small engineering projects as.

• Participate in the analysis andthe developmentof the project.

• Write the functional FMEA andvalidateit.

• In partnership with suppliers evaluate and definetechnicalsolutions andvalidatetheir feasibility.

• Consults andparticipatesin theselectionof suppliers.

• Follow the technical side qualifications as needed and complete new PM tasks and PM plans.

• Organize theappropriate technicalfiles for projects as they are completed

• Ensure the transfer to production and maintenance (qualification documentation and follow-through)

• Ensure the technical reliability ofFFSandPackagingEquipmentsand help to improve their level of OEE and quality performancemainly throughfacilitatingthe meetings and follow-ups of the OEE Group.

• Participate actively inOEEgroups for each workshop.

• Help to prioritizeactions from the daily results in themaintenance work order meeting.

• Participate in any progress plans with the suppliers.

• Take into accountthe requirements of industrial and food safety in the interventions procedures of preventiveandpredictivemaintenance ranges.

• Mentor and provide support/ training/ guidance to others within the plant in areas related to troubleshooting repairs root cause analysis continuous improvement industrialsafetyand food safety.

• Make basic changes to automatedcontrolsprogrammingas with Reliability Engineers or subject matter experts on more complex programming needs.

PositionRequirements:

EDUCATION

• Bachelors Degree ina technical fieldor anAssociates Degreein a field related to industrial maintenancepreferred or 10years of experience in leu of a degree.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 years of experienceinReliabilityoras aspecializedMaintenanceprofessionalinaProcessmanufacturing environment.

• Experience in food manufacturingwithstrongknowledge ofPackagingEquipments(FFSToploadCasepacker Palletizer Wrapper )is stronglypreferred.

• Experience applying lean manufacturing and six sigma principles.

• Experience implementing5Sstandards and other Lean practices including Visual Performance Management.

SKILLS

• Must have strong skills in electrical mechanical andcontrols.

• Must have basic PLC programming skills.

• Must have strong skills in Excel CMMSsystemsand data modeling.

• Must have the ability to lead thru influence work cross-functionally and provide guidancefeedbackand coaching to plant employees

• Well-developed time management and organizational skills.

• Ability to see the big picture and work independently.

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with individuals at all levels of the organization.

• Be a champion for safetyqualityand GMP standards as needed

PHYSICAL& TRAVELREQUIREMENTS

• Able to access all areas of the manufacturing facility including use of stairs ladders and the occasional powered lift.

• Must be able to wear PPEand GMP attire.

• Must be able to access tight areas and make adjustments to equipment with their hands.

• Must be able to work 8 hours per day and be on his/her feet for extended periods of time.

• Ability tolift upto 40 lbs.
