Core Responsibilities

• Technical Design & Execution: Generate precise packaging die-lines and technical drawings for artwork preparation. Oversee the development of all components from concept to finished goods ensuring optimal machine compatibility and superior quality.

• Specification Management: Author maintain and issue comprehensive packaging specifications. Manage data integrity within the PGSS (Product Group Specification System) to ensure global alignment.

• Quality Assurance: Lead initial production runs (IPR) for new materials and provide technical recommendations for approval. Conduct periodic on-shelf quality evaluations and warehouse audits to maintain brand excellence.

• Continuous Improvement: Initiate and drive FTG (Funding the Growth) productivity initiatives ensuring all packaging solutions meet or exceed stringent global quality standards.

• Strategic Alignment: Partner with Regional and Global Packaging Leaders to execute assigned programs ensuring all developments align with production capabilities and long-term business strategies.

Leadership & Supervision

• Project Ownership: Accountable for the end-to-end packaging development lifecycle ensuring milestones are met according to the project roadmap and quality protocols.

• Sustainability Advocacy: Spearhead sustainability initiatives to meet corporate environmental roadmaps and carbon-reduction goals.

• Technical Coaching: Provide guidance and training to production line operators to ensure seamless integration of new packaging formats.

Day-to-Day Operations

• Product Launches: Execute packaging implementation for new product launches (NPL) and re-launches according to agreed timelines.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing Supply Chain and R&D to harmonize design intent with manufacturing limitations and functional requirements.

• Documentation & Workflow: Manage the artwork review and approval process; ensure all digital specifications are accurately uploaded and categorized.

Qualifications & Skills

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced computer literacy including SAP Google Workspace and design software (Adobe Illustrator Photoshop).

• Communication: Strong command of English (written and verbal) with the ability to present technical data to non-technical stakeholders.

• Industry Experience: Proven experience in FMCG or packaging manufacturing processes is highly preferred.

Functional Competencies

• • Material Science: Deep knowledge of multi-material structures including rigid plastics flexible packaging and fiber-based materials (paper/cardboard).

  • Value Engineering: Demonstrated ability to select materials that balance cost-efficiency functional performance and design aesthetics.

  • End-to-End Logistics: Comprehensive understanding of the packaging lifecycle from supplier procurement and production to warehouse handling and the end-consumer experience.
