The Lead Irrigation Technician will be responsible for installing diagnosing repairing and maintaining irrigation systems with a strong commitment to quality workmanship customer satisfaction and water efficiency. This role requires hands-on experience strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Union: 32BJ
Pay: $29.00 per hour.
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary basedon applicants experience skills abilities geographic location and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities
- Install inspect monitor troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems including valves controllers drip lines and sprinkler heads.
- Perform system startups winterizations and seasonal adjustments.
- Recommend efficiency improvements.
- Diagnose and identify issues within the system above and below ground.
- Read and interpret blueprints irrigation plans and specifications.
- Ensure all work meets industry standards and company quality guidelines.
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members regarding project status recommendations and service needs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed materials used and time spent.
- Operate tools machinery and service vehicles safely and responsibly including underground.
Qualifications
- 3 plus years of professional irrigation experience required.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems water management and related technologies.
- Ability to diagnose and repair complex irrigation issues.
- Familiarity with major brands (e.g. Hunter Rain Bird Toro Weathermatic).
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Backflow certification (preferred but not required).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
- Must be dependable punctual and committed to consistent high-quality work.
- Good knowledge of trenchers multi-meters wire locators ditchers and pipe sizing are also essential.
