A forward-thinking and well-resourced secondary school in Nottingham is seeking a reliable and technically skilled IT Support Technician to join its IT services team as soon as possible. This is a key operational role supporting teaching learning safeguarding and administrative functions across the school.
The school places strong emphasis on digital learning secure systems and reliable infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring that staff and pupils can access technology efficiently and safely.
The Role
Providing first-line technical support to staff and pupils across the school site
Maintaining hardware software and network systems to ensure reliability
Supporting classroom technology including interactive boards and digital learning platforms
Managing user accounts permissions and safeguarding filters
Assisting with cybersecurity protocols and GDPR compliance
Supporting AV systems and interactive technology across classrooms and halls
Maintaining IT inventory asset tracking and documentation records
Assisting with system upgrades installations and infrastructure improvements
Troubleshooting technical issues promptly and effectively
Providing basic training or guidance to staff on new systems and platforms
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Experience in IT support network administration or educational IT environments
Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
Knowledge of safeguarding requirements within school IT systems
Familiarity with Microsoft environments network systems and device management
Excellent communication and customer-service skills
The ability to prioritise workload in a busy school environment
A proactive organised and professional approach
