Art and Photography Teacher – Northampton

The Role

As an Art and Photography Teacher you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons fostering creativity and preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations. Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Art and Photography lessons across Key Stages 35.

• Designing projects that develop practical skills creative thinking and conceptual understanding.

• Preparing students for assessment including GCSE A-Level and portfolio submissions.

• Providing constructive feedback to support student progress and achievement.

• Maintaining safe and organised studio spaces including darkroom and digital photography areas.

• Contributing to curriculum development departmental planning and resource management.

• Supporting extracurricular activities such as art clubs exhibitions and photography competitions.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong subject knowledge in Art and Photography.

• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

• Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.

• Knowledge of health and safety procedures for studio and photographic equipment.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
