Job Summary
An outstanding and oversubscribed secondary school in Manchester is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Drama Technician to support its dynamic Performing Arts department as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a school recognised for creative excellence and strong academic standards.
The Drama department delivers high-quality productions and performance-based learning across KS3KS5 supported by a dedicated theatre space.
The Role
Managing lighting sound and stage equipment
Supporting rehearsals productions and technical run-throughs
Maintaining theatre equipment and safety checks
Assisting with set construction and stage preparation
Supporting GCSE and A Level practical assessments
Managing props costumes and storage
Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Experience in theatre production or technical stage management
Knowledge of lighting and sound systems
Strong organisational skills
Ability to work flexibly around performance schedules
A calm and professional approach
