Key about your role

As a JuniorEngineerfor Lifetime you will be a memberinour Technical Application Management team (TAM) youhelp safeguard the availabilityperformanceand security for Plexus customers in the Life & Pension domain.

Together with experienced colleagues you:

• Monitor the Plexus platform and act on alerts and incidents (for example disk space issues high CPUusageor Tomcat down situations).

• Contribute to daily operations: handling service requests and standard changes following agreed ITIL processes.

• Support the provisioning and configuration of new customer environments including setting up application components andvalidatingthat they are ready for use.

• Assistin user management.

• Help with webservice management: whitelisting access configuringendpointsand provisioning webservices for customers on IIS.

• Participate in patching and security updates for the technology stack (Windows Server Oracle SQL ServerTomcatand related components) following runbooks and under guidance from senior engineers.

• Learn to manage client and server certificates for the platform including renewals and deployments.

• Support external audits penetrationtestsand failover tests by preparing evidence executing standard teststepsand documenting results.

• Keep runbooks and documentation up to date so we can work in a standardized and auditable way.

You will grow into taking more ownership of incidents and changes and after a proper onboarding and trainingperiodyou will be part of the standby/on-call rotation.

• You are astartingTechnical ApplicationEngineerand you are at your best when no issues are shown in the ticketing system (and so you can go for another coffee withyourcolleagues). Asa member ofan experiencedteam you willberesponsible forthe daily maintenance of some ofKeylanesKey-applicationsand in time will take part in our rotating stand-by daily maintenance and management of the Cloudplatformyou will alsoparticipatein improvement projects.
  
  Within your role you will work with some of the following application servers and databases; Apache Tomcaton Linux application serversin combination with Microsoft SQLonWindows Database servers. You will also work with containerized platforms such as Kubernetes in combination with GitLab andArgoCDfor deployments. Of coursethe monitoring of the systems and the analyzing ofissues whichmight have happened during the night is nothing new for you. Alsodeliveringinstallingandmaintainingmanyapplicationsdoesntmake you sweat. Besides thisyoullsupport the internal Delivery teams through 1st line support and resolving ad hoc problems is a big part of this.

A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and reference check are part of the application process. All employees follow information security training and have basic information security responsibilities.

• A monthly gross salary between 3.000 and 4.000 based on 40 hours per week.

• 8% holiday allowance of your total gross salary.
• A profit share.

• Travel reimbursement: Receive a mileage allowance of 0.23 per km or an NS Business Card which can also be used for personal travel

• Flexibility in working environment. As part of a hybrid working team you will work partly from home and partly from the office. If you work in the office a free lunch is waiting for you every day. If you work from home you will receive a working from home allowance ( 4 net per day) and internet allowance ( 35 net per month).
