Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Care (CCU)
Location: Syracuse NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Schedule Requirements: Every Other Weekend & Some Holidays
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift assignment supporting an Adult ED/ICU Holding Unit in a high-acuity acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong ICU experience and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Clinical Setting
Adult ED/ICU Holding Unit
High-acuity patient population
Level I or Level II Trauma environment preferred
EPIC Electronic Medical Records system
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients.
Perform advanced nursing assessments and interventions in an acute care setting.
Monitor evaluate and document patient condition and response to treatment.
Collaborate with physicians interdisciplinary teams and support staff.
Maintain accurate documentation within EPIC EMR.
Deliver safe evidence-based patient care with minimal supervision and orientation.
Adhere to hospital policies regulatory standards and patient safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
Active New York State RN License/Registration.
BLS Certification (must be current and maintainable).
Minimum 1.5 years of recent ICU experience (within the last 2 years) in a comparable acute care facility.
Experience in hospitals of equal or greater size and trauma designation (Level I or II preferred).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
No history of professional license suspension investigation or professional liability claims.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Must pass pre-employment health clearance background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
Emergency Department (ED) experience.
Prior experience with EPIC EMR.
Trauma center experience (Level I or II).
