IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- 7 years of maintenance experience including 2 years in supervisory/leadership
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing settings (waste/recycling is a plus)
- Knowledge of mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems; especially related to conveyors screens and optical sorters.
- Experience implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Experience in a unionized environment
About the Role
- As thePlant Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for overseeing activities and staff in the management of the efficient maintenance of equipment at the companys newest Material Recover Facility (MRF)
What Youll Do
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians including scheduling training and performance management.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical hydraulic electrical and pneumatic equipment.
- Ensures that equipment is repaired and returned to service in a safe and timely manner.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and upgrades.
- Maintain CMMS data parts inventory and maintenance records.
- Support startup and commissioning of new equipment.
- Train and develop team members to build a culture of accountability safety and high performance.
- Ensure compliance with all safety environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for planning budgeting staffing discipline and implementation of all maintenance initiatives and programs.
- Promotes a safe work environment in compliance with Corporate and OHSA requirements.
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience (High School/GED 4 years).
- 7 years of maintenance experience including 2 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing settings (waste/recycling is a plus)
- Knowledge of mechanical electrical and hydraulic systems; especially related to conveyors screens and optical sorters.
- Red Seal Millwright or similar trade certification preferred.
