Description
Sales Specialist supports our existing customers and attracts new commercial this role you will focus your efforts on expansions upgrades inspections testing and maintenance. You are expected to reach out to prospective customers and generate new sales opportunities. The successful candidate will increase income and revenue by generating leads qualifying prospects creating competitive estimates and managing sales. The sales specialist is a motivated organized and personable individual willing to contribute his/her experience and expertise in growing our presence in the Okanagan region. The Sales Specialist will prepare quotations based on reviewing construction drawings specifications past reports and site visits. The sales specialist will provide support and assistance to his coworkers in a team environment.
Task & Responsibilities:
- Accountable for specifying selling and becoming subject matter expert of CFLS Product and services.
- Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential customer by scheduling sales calls following up on leads to provide quotes.
- Handle all sales opportunities up to contract negotiations and close agreements to maximize profits.
- Monitor and stay up to date with industry and market trends.
- Manage assigned customer accounts to ensure that we are looking after all their service work requirements.
- Prepare customer quotes in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide clients with comprehensive product knowledge and potential solutions to their needs.
- Develop relationships and solid product knowledge for all our suppliers.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of the companys products and or services.
- Follow-up with leads generated from other departments.
- Complete required paperwork for new customers and new jobs in accordance with company policy
- Follow up with clients regularly to ensure satisfaction with the purchases and to nurture ongoing relationships.
- Update client information in the company contact database as required.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of CFLSs services and pricing structure.
- Provide regular communication with the Branch Director
- Preparation of quotations based on reviewing construction drawings specifications past reports
- Lay out of fire protection systems including but not limited to: sprinkler systems fire systems standpipe systems fire pump and special fire suppression systems in accordance with codes.
- Produce a quantity take off list of material labour and other construction factors to produce a cost estimate.
- Communication with General Contractors Engineers Architects Owners and End Users.
- Complete site visits to determine existing conditions
- Meet with clients and build customer relationships
- Assist Construction and Interior Project where necessary.
- Support ongoing project execution on an as needed basis.
- Provide input to create departmental key performance indicators (KPI) and benchmarks.
- Responsible for preparation and presentation of sales forecasts.
- Utilization of CFLS process and tools included but not limited to:
- Pre-bid / Lead qualification reviews
- CFLS estimating tools & checklists
- Bid reviews and pre-submission approvals
- Sales to design / Project Management handover meetings
- Utilization of CFLS tools included but not limited to:
- Pipedrive CRM
- ServiceTrade
- Microsoft Teams & OneDrive
- Any other additional items requested by your manager.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 years sales/estimating experience
- Flexible and able to work with different sales personalities techniques and processes.
- Knowledge of relevant NFPA Codes CAN/ULC Standards fire codes and building codes.
- Experience working with a CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management.
- Strong communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and driven.
- Must have thorough knowledge of the Fire Protection Industry.
- Willing to travel up to 50% within the Okanagan region.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with preparing thorough quotes an asset.
- A valid drivers license is required.
