Overview:
In partnership with the Department of Youth & Community Development (DYCD) Housing Works launched the CRED Program a new specialized 24-week paid training program for justice-involved and justice-impacted individuals ages 25 40. The program provides case management connection to wraparound health services industry recognized credential trainings paid internships and employment placement and retention support. Reporting to the Program Manager the Job Developer will be responsible for but not limited to developing and maintaining relationships with NYC employers within the designated sectors of 1) maintenance and infrastructure and 2) culinary food service and providing individualized career development support to program participants to match clients with employers and career paths of their interest. The responsibilities include facilitating employer education presentations and participating in networking activities developing innovative career pathways maintaining account management systems to evaluate and expand partnerships facilitating work readiness groups and providing individual vocational counseling and career development support. The Job Developer will have knowledge of the criminal legal system and the barriers associated with previous legal involvement and the impacts on employment outcomes experience working in the workforce development sector and experience building and maintaining relationships with employer partners.
Responsibilities:
Primary:
- Develop innovative internship and career pathways for clients enrolled in the program.
- Create an maintain career maps to assist clients with preparing and navigating the specified workforce sectors.
- Facilitate employer education presentations.
- Participate in community outreach and networking activities.
- Utilize Labor Market Index (LMI) reports to generate lists of NYC employers for strategic and targeted outreach efforts.
- Lead the business development component of the program and present to team members on labor market availability and current partnerships.
- Facilitate work readiness groups.
- Conduct individual vocational counseling sessions with clients enrolled in the program to address workforce development and work readiness skills building.
- Match clients with employers and internship partners that align with their training and career goals.
- Maintain accurate data entry and reporting in the designated account management data system.
- Document client services accurately and thoroughly in the designated case records systems.
- Ensure contract deliverables specific to this positions responsibilities are met.
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate program reports.

Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree preferred in social services psychology social work or other related field.
The following are qualifications and requirements of the position:
- Minimum 1 year experience working in business development or workforce.
- Experience placing individuals with legal backgrounds in employment or career opportunities.
- Strong written documentation and communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
- Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel required
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOC clearance.
- Experience utilizing EMR systems.

- Preferably bi-lingual in Spanish.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent or proficient technical skills to perform tasks related to Microsoft Office email and case management systems.
