Were seeking a Power Systems Technical Support Engineer to join our world-class team. Youll provide office-based technical support at MW-scale for Industrial and Marine Power Systems. You will engage with customers and the local engineering teams to provide technical support for current and legacy platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Use your experience in Power Systems design and practical hands-on experience through supporting Power Systems commissioning activities.
Take ownership of technical issues and drive through to conclusion.
Have customer facing experience be a good communicator and well organised.
Be able to handle multiple ongoing activities in parallel.
Support lessons learned and feed back into design standards.
Ensure recommendations solutions and advice are technically compliant and safe.
Provide timely solutions to customers.
Engage with wider engineering teams where necessary to develop your technical knowledge and experience.
Provide Power Systems application support & technical guidance to customers and to our commercial and site teams.
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualification in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
Hands on experience with commissioning or servicing Power Systems equipment.
Holistic knowledge of Power Systems (HV & LV) including alternators grounding systems switchboards protection relays AVRs transformers power electronic converters etc.
Willing to travel within UK and overseas for short-term working.
Excellent communication documentation and organizational skills.
Able to establish good relationships with customers and colleagues.
