Job Summary

Part Time Tuition Billing Specialist

Summary

The Tuition Billing Specialist manages all aspects of student tuition accounts ensuring accurate billing timely payments and clear communication with families. This role supports the business office by maintaining precise financial records and delivering excellent customer service to students parents and internal departments. Ability to manage sensitive financial information with confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain student account records in FACTS Management including charges credits adjustments and financial aid allocations.
Process tuition payments refunds and payment plan arrangements.
Monitor delinquent accounts and coordinate followup communication regarding outstanding balances.
Respond to billing inquiries from families students and staff with clarity and professionalism.
Collaborate with admissions financial aid and accounting teams to ensure accurate data flow.
Reconcile tuition revenue and student account balances with the general ledger.
Assist school leadership team by providing documentation and account summaries.
Support the development and improvement of billing policies procedures and systems.
Responsible for administration of FACTS Pay-It forms
Overseeing electronic payment operations
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

A bachelors degree in accounting along with three or more years of experience in accounting or similar field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products with a special emphasis on Excel
Ability to operate accounting software
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
Commitment to accuracy confidentiality and internal controls
