Join a high-growth fintech startup as a Backend Engineer focused on building and scaling robust APIs and production services. You will work within a hybrid London team utilizing Python and FastAPI to deliver high-performance systems. This role offers the opportunity to own significant features optimize SQL performance and drive reliability across a modern cloud-native stack.

What you will do:

• Design develop and maintain high-performance APIs using Python (FastAPI) Postgres and Redis.

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of production services ensuring high availability and system reliability.

• Optimize complex SQL queries and database schemas to support rapidly growing data volumes.

The ideal candidate:

• Has 4 years of professional experience building and maintaining production-grade APIs.

• Demonstrates mastery of Python and deep proficiency with relational databases and SQL optimization.

• Proven track record of taking ownership over technical projects involving system scaling or performance tuning.
