Summary
This role provides day-to-day operational support for enterprise applications and their supporting servers. The primary focus is coordinating planning and executing server-based software updates along with Level 1 support for Jira and Jira Service Management (JSM). The role will also assist with licensing access management and application implementations as needed.
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
1. Software Updates on Application Servers
- Coordinate plan and execute software updates for servers hosting enterprise applications
- Perform patching upgrades and routine maintenance aligned with approved change windows
- Validate application functionality post-update and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Maintain documentation for update procedures schedules and change records
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors during maintenance activities
2. Jira / Jira Service Management (JSM) Level 1 Support
- Provide Level 1 support for Jira and Jira Service Management
- Handle routine user requests access issues and basic configuration changes
- Perform initial troubleshooting and escalate complex issues appropriately
- Own incidents through resolution and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
- Coordinate with internal teams as required
3. Licensing & Entitlement Support
- Assist with managing software licensing and entitlements
- Monitor license usage and availability
- Support audits renewals and basic entitlement troubleshooting
4. Access Management
- Provision and deprovision user access for enterprise applications
- Maintain role-based access aligned to internal security policies
- Troubleshoot access-related issues
5. Software Implementations & Migrations
- Assist with application implementations and migrations as needed
- Support testing cutover activities and post-migration stabilization
- Help document operational processes and support handoffs
Typical Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree (or equivalent experience) in Information System Computer Scienceor Information Technology with 2-5 years of related experience.
