Job Summary

Bayless High School is seeking a motivated student-centered Head Football Coach to lead and develop our high school football program. The Head Coach is responsible for building a competitive program that emphasizes character teamwork sportsmanship and academic success while creating a positive and meaningful experience for all student-athletes.

Essential Functions

Plan organize and oversee all aspects of the high school football program.
Represent the students staff and parents of the Bayless School District in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
Promote sportsmanship and positive conduct in all aspects of the program.
Develop and implement practice plans and game strategies aligned with program goals.
Supervise mentor and evaluate assistant coaches.
Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality for all practices games meetings and events.
Support the athletic program during the summer by supervising training sessions and practices.
Promote player safety through proper conditioning supervision and injury prevention protocols.
Maintain accurate inventory records of all equipment and uniforms issued to participants.
Ensure compliance with school district policies state athletic association guidelines and conference/league rules.
Communicate effectively and professionally with athletes parents/guardians administrators and staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Meet all legal requirements and Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) certification requirements.
Meet all qualifications established by the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA).

Terms of Employment

This position is an extra-duty assignment. The period of employment will be determined by the school calendar and program needs. Responsibilities may include attendance at state conferences meetings playoff games and other events associated with the football program.
