Job Summary
The Beautician is responsible for providing professional beauty services including haircuts styling and other grooming services to state employees residents or clients within a government facility. This role requires a high level of professionalism technical expertise and strong customer service skills. A valid Arkansas cosmetology license is required to perform services in this capacity.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide a wide range of beauty services including haircuts styling coloring and treatments to clients based on their clients with hair care and maintenance offering advice on suitable products techniques and client records documenting the services provided hair treatments and any preferences or instructions for future scalp treatments facials and other beauty services as required ensuring the highest level of care and and maintain positive relationships with clients creating a welcoming and respectful with clients to understand their needs and preferences offering professional advice and suggestions regarding their hair and beauty goals.
Knowledge and Skills
Proficient in a wide range of beauty services including haircuts styling coloring and other treatments for diverse client in the use of professional beauty tools such as clippers scissors hair dryers straighteners and other of various beauty products their benefits and suitable applications based on individual client attention to detail to ensure that all services are performed accurately safely and to the clients to listen attentively to clients needs provide appropriate recommendations and deliver services that meet or exceed expectations.
Minimum Qualifications
The ability to read and write.
Licensure/Certifications
Must hold a valid Cosmetology license in the state of JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
