Responsibilities
Perform maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes tire balancing and rotation and cooling system flushes as outlined on repair orders.
Sell lubrication services safety inspections and other related services;maintainrecords for regular customers and follow up as needed.
Inspect vehicle fluid levels andreplenishas necessary.
Check and adjust tire pressure.
Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.
Save and tag parts for warranty or customer requests.
Assess vehicles foradditionalsafety or service needs.
Notify the service advisor ifadditionalwork is needed if the outlined work is unnecessary or if repairs cannot be completed on time.
Document all work performed and recommended on repair orders.
Conduct road tests to ensure vehicle functionality.
Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and stay updated on technical bulletins.
Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
Ensure vehicles are kept clean and notify the service advisor of any changes in vehiclecondition.
Maintain a clean and organized shop area.
Account for and return dealership-owned tools and manuals in good condition.
Comply withfederal state and local regulations including hazardous waste disposal and safety procedures.
Operate tools and equipment safely and report any safety issues to management.
Qualifications:
Knowledgeable and caninterpret safety rules operating instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability towriteroutine reports and correspondence.
Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts commissions and percentages and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
Valid Drivers License.
