Job Summary

What you get to do:

This role leads the daily operations of the Costume Shop within Entertainment supporting show quality and character presentation through effective wardrobe execution. You will oversee costume shop workflows fittings maintenance and team leadership while partnering with performance and entertainment leadership to ensure operational excellence. You will:

  • Coach mentor direct evaluate and schedule Costume Specialists and Costume Support team members

  • Lead onboarding and orientation for new Costume Shop ambassadors including shop procedures safety standards and operational expectations

  • Lead training and ongoing development of new and existing Costume Shop ambassadors in areas such as costume construction alterations repairs laundering inventory control and fittings

  • Write evaluations and assist in the professional development and growth of Costume Shop ambassadors

  • Ensure costumes are properly maintained repaired altered created and show-ready to support entertainment and character operations

  • Conduct and oversee costume and character fittings ensuring proper fit comfort safety and show standards

  • Partner with show producers entertainment leadership and performance operations to support costume needs while maintaining established show and brand standards

  • Produce maintain and ensure accuracy of operational and wardrobe documentation

  • Maintain a safe work environment ensuring compliance with safety procedures and Costume Shop protocols

  • Oversee cleanliness organization and functionality of the Costume Shop laundry areas storage spaces and assigned backstage work areas

  • Maintain uphold and respect ambassador confidentiality and leadership responsibilities

  • Ensure excellence in guest service by supporting ambassadors in meeting guest expectations and operational needs

  • Maintain a positive adaptable and solution-oriented leadership presence in a fast-paced environment

  • Model company training standards related to guest interactions and backstage awareness

  • Occasionally assist other entertainment locations or operational areas as business needs require

  • Communicate professionally and effectively with ambassadors vendors and guests

  • Perform other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed:

  • At least 18 years of age

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • At least one year of professional or college-level experience in one or more of the following areas: costume shop/wardrobe operations theater live entertainment theme park entertainment or related production environments required

  • At least six months of experience in a leadership lead or supervisory role preferred

  • One year of theme park or live entertainment experience preferred

  • Possession of a valid state drivers license and ability to obtain a company drivers license

  • Ability to meet company driving guidelines

  • Working knowledge of costume construction alterations repairs fittings laundry processes and wardrobe maintenance

  • Strong presentation skills including the ability to lead training and communicate clearly with teams

  • Ability to positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages cultures languages and abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to read write and speak English

  • Working knowledge of computer-based tools such as Microsoft Office

  • Ability to complete assigned projects accurately and professionally within deadlines

  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Ability to remain flexible positive and solutions-focused in a fast-paced changing environment

  • Ability to lift push pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Position requires extensive walking and standing throughout the shift; ability to climb or work at heights if needed

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including kneeling squatting bending reaching overhead fine hand manipulation and use of tools

  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions; exposure to fumes dust odors and temperature extremes may occur

  • Perform cleaning duties including safe use of cleaning chemicals

  • Availability to work flexible schedules based on business needs including opening mid and closing shifts; nights weekends and holidays

Compensation:

  • 20.00 USD Hourly
