Job Summary

A vacancy has arisen for a Flt Lt / WO (Any Profession) to serve as Community Careers Liaison Officer Northeast based at RAF LEEMING on ADC (180) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with a proposed start date of 1 June 2026

The primary purpose of the CCLO RAF Leeming is to expand awareness of the RAF and its career opportunities utilising station assets and your local network of careers ambassadors to deliver impactful in-reach events and activities which inspire engage and attract new applicants to service under Op PROSPERITY.

This high-profile role will be executed through in-reach activities which includes targeted delivery of face to face (F2F) and virtual careers familiarisation engagement events for groups of potential applicants and other key influencer groups (including gatekeepers careers and educational leads and wider community organisations) to RAF Leeming and other nearby stations in the NE area. The aim is to enhance understanding of RAF careers and lifestyle by enabling audiences to experience authentic aspects of RAF life and the breadth of opportunities available ensuring they can make informed decisions about joining the Service or positively encourage service in the RAF.

As directed by the Engage Inspire to Attract (EI2A) CoC you will be the link to Recruitment & Selection (R&S) working in partnership with input from the SoMo SO2 Ethnic Minorities (EM) and SO2 Work Experience (WExp) to load and host targeted groups to their wider regional in-reach events.

You will be responsible through the EI2A CoC to Gp Capt R&S (until 1 Apr 27) for meeting the following core objectives:

Main Effort. Work in harmony with the station to deliver engagement activities aligned with AFR HQ intent and direction from SO1 EI2A. Executing focused engagement activity that promotes all RAF professions in direct support of EI2A priorities ensuring:

Effective and efficient use of station assets to showcase the RAF.

Engage with underrepresented groups and specialist education providers to offer tailored station events which inspire and influence.

Conduct profession-specific engagement activities both virtual and in-person including close liaison with the Virtual Work Experience (vWExP) contractor (Springpod) and on-site engagement for programme participants.

Engage with educational establishments youth groups including uniformed organisations (ie Air Cadets CCF UAS etc) to promote RAF Careers - particularly the RAF Apprenticeship offer in accordance with Department for Education policy

Maintain complete and accurate EI2A activity records and submit a comprehensive monthly report including relevant performance data and analysis to the Chain of Command.

If capacity permits provide support to:

Op CLOUDBURST and wider Op PROSPERITY tasks including careers fairs work experience initiatives aimed at promoting RAF careers.

UK wide delivery of virtual and F2F engagement events activities including:

  • Monthly virtual Look at Life events
  • Specialist profession webinar sessions
  • Targeted parent and guardian webinars
  • MPCT virtual presentations and visits
  • University Air Squadron virtual engagement

You will maintain existing relevant relationships in support of the wider EI2A pillar to identify and cultivate and maintain relationships with key establishments influencers MPCT colleges and gatekeepers within the engagement area

You will act as the Recruitment & Selection (R&S) Engage Inspire to Attract (EI2A) liaison link utilising stn resources and your local network of trade/branch ambassadors to conduct in-reach activities as directed by the EI2A CoC.
