Job Summary
Position Title: Packaging Wexxar Operator
Position Type: Regular - Full-Time
Requisition ID:40956
Purpose: To operate Wexxar Machines
To clean the packaging area and surrounding areas
Training requirements: When selected to work in this area a senior wexxar operator that currently performs the job will train the individual. The training will last as long as it takes for the new employee to become adapted to the duties in that area. The current Wexxar Operator and Supervisor are responsible to estimate when this training has become complete and the new employee is capable of performing all tasks that are assigned.
Job responsibilities:
- Operate and fill the Wexxar case formers and Tape machines
- Each Wexxar Operator will be responsible for packaging area cleanliness and other assigned areas as required.
- To break other operators for scheduled breaks as required.
- Maintain an acceptable level of cleanliness in their assigned area by use of an air hose etc.
- Follow GMPs.
- Advises supervision of any safety issues within their work environment.
- Actively look for ways to improve plant sanitation.
- Actively look for ways to improve overall packaging operation.
- All other duties as assigned by Fry Plant Shift Supervisor.
Duties:
- Look out for red lights on the Wexxars and Marqus.
- Fill the Wexxar with boxes and watch the tape.
- Every 30 minutes bring the box back up-front that the QC takes to do tests.
- Clean work area.
- Empty the garbage in QC lab every couple of hours.
- Every 30 minutes check the code on each line.
- Check case code every 15 minutes.
NOTE: This description constitutes the minimum requirements for the Wexxar Operator position. Other duties may be assigned at Managements discretion.
Compensation Package:$ -$ Starting at 22.61 CAD hourly Bonus eligibility Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience skill set education and training and other organizational needs. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
