In accordance with the Vision Purpose and Values and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Reporting to the Director Client & Application Management the Manager IM/IT Service Change is the Island Health lead for service transitions related to the regions IMIT infrastructure. The Manager has primary responsibility for the implementation maintenance and optimization of processes tools and activities related to change release testing and configuration management within Island Health.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Training And Experience

A level of education training and experience equivalent to a Bachelors degree in Health Information Science Business Administration or Computer Science and eight years experience in a service delivery role including two years of management experience. Experience with multiple best practice process methodologies including LEAN and PMBOK. Thorough knowledge of current and evolving ITIL change release validation/testing and configuration management methodologies. Experience working within a health service delivery organization. Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture concepts. Desirable certifications include ITIL foundation certification with practitioner-level certification and CPHIMS-CA certification. Masters degree is preferred.
