For our Finance Benelux team located at our office in Vianen we are looking for a Financial Accountant for 40 hours (Full-time) per week.

As a Financial Accountant you will manage the companys core financial records preparing journal entries reconciling accounts (like bank AR/AP Provisions) closing monthly/yearly books ensuring financial data accuracy for reports and preparing those statements (balance sheets P&L) analyzing data for insights assisting in preparing budgeting/forecasting ensuring compliance (IFRS) and assisting with audits and tax prep while collaborating with other departments.
Key duties include recording transactions reconciling accounts managing tax compliance reporting on costs revenues and balance reconciliations. Further assist with compliance and process improvements requiring strong attention to detail and analytical skills for financial stability and operational smoothness.
You will be part of the Finance Benelux team and report to the Finance Director Benelux and will be collaborating with the broader scope of the International Sonova organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Journal Entries & Data Entry: Recording daily transactions accruals deferrals and reclassifications.
- Account Reconciliation: Balancing bank accounts balance sheets AR/AP and fixed assets.
- Month/Year-End Close: Supporting the closing process preparing monthly quarterly and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet Income Statement Cash Flow).
- Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data identifying variances and identify trends.
- Audit & Tax Support: Assisting with internal/external audits and tax preparation. Prepares and files Tax returns such as the VAT return statement and Corporate taxes. Monitoring Tax compliance and assisting with tax-related reporting and audits.
- Interdepartmental Support: Acting as a resource for accounting queries from other departments (Sales Operations Marketing etc.).
- Cash Management: Monitoring cash activities forecasts and reconciliations.
- Compliance: Ensuring adherence to accounting principles (IFRS) and regulations.
- Process Improvement: Suggest ways to reduce costs improve efficiency and implement financial controls.
- Assist with other accounting duties as assigned by the Finance Director.
Profile
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly skilled in math accounting and financial processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Solid understanding of IFRS and applicable regulations GAAP is a nice-to-have
- Team player and able to share knowledge with other team members
Profile requirements
- Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field (masters preferred)
- At least 2 years experience in accounting
- Experience with financial systems / ERP-software and excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Power BI is a nice-to-have
- Affinity with systems software programs and tools is a pré.
- Fluent in both Dutch and English
- Full-time availability strongly preferred 36 or 32 hours is to be discussed
