Europe Direct report to Group CEO
A fast-evolving European financial services group is looking for a Head of Strategy & Execution to partner directly with the Group CEO in shaping and driving the next phase of growth and organisational evolution.
This is not a classic strategy role.
It is a CEO-level execution mandate.
We are looking for someone who combines top-tier strategic thinking with the ability to drive alignment and delivery across multiple entities and countries.
WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
You will operate at Group level working side-by-side with the CEO on the most critical priorities:
Defining and sequencing strategic initiatives
Translating ambition into structured roadmaps
Driving cross-entity alignment
Ensuring disciplined follow-through
There is no formal line management responsibility but the role operates under the direct mandate of the Group CEO and carries significant cross-organisational influence.
The position sits at the intersection of strategy transformation and governance supporting the Groups evolution towards a more integrated and centralised operating model.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Strategic Agenda Shaping
Structure complex strategic questions for CEO and Board discussions
Clarify trade-offs and prioritisation across competing initiatives
Translate high-level direction into actionable plans and milestones
Group-Level Execution
Coordinate major cross-country initiatives including operating model evolution IT and process transformation and governance enhancements
Establish tracking frameworks and follow-up discipline
Identify execution risks early and push for resolution
Executive Support
Prepare high-quality materials for Executive Committee and Board
Act as a sparring partner to the CEO on strategic and organisational topics
Ensure that decisions are effectively implemented across entities
Requisitos
IDEAL BACKGROUND
815 years of experience in strategy consulting (top-tier or leading boutique strongly preferred) and/or senior in-house strategy or CEO Office roles
Direct exposure to CEO or ExCom environments
Experience in multi-country or multi-entity organisations
Comfortable operating in complex and regulated environments
KEY CAPABILITIES
Strong strategic structuring and analytical thinking
Ability to translate ambiguity into clear priorities and execution roadmaps
Senior stakeholder management across functions and geographies
High execution discipline and personal accountability
Ability to influence without formal line authority
NICE TO HAVE
Exposure to insurance reinsurance banking or other regulated financial services
M&A or post-merger integration experience
Financial modelling investment cases or multi-year planning exposure
MBA or equivalent postgraduate education
