Summary: The Trimble operator is responsible for accurate layout and physical coordination of Duct hanger points sleeves equipment points and inserts as needed to maintain progress and productivity on all types of construction sites. The Trimble operator will also be responsible for scanning using the Trimble scanner and software.
Essential Functions including the following but not limited to the below.
Lead by Example:
- Ability to operate a Trimble Robotic total station and X7 scanner without assistance
- Layout construction sites for installation requirements
- Follow the Trimble standard operating procedure (SOP -Attached
- Back Check measurements and review against plans
- Manage and coordinate the use of the Trimble unit with a weekly Trimble schedule.
- Review Coordination Drawings for most efficient hanger layout and make adjustments as necessary
Build Lifelong Partnerships:
- Coordinate with VDC/BIM Manager to share point files & wall layouts
- Coordinate with foreman to confirm the scheduled use of the Trimble equipment
- When Trimble workload is low join the coordination team to produce Installation Drawings with appropriat detail to facilitate construction.
- When Trimble & Coordination workload is low work with estimating team to help facilitate takeoffs
- Communicate status/ issues regularly to Internal and External Customers.
- Weekly check-in meeting with coordination manager and communication with project coordinators
Act with Integrity:
- Manage and coordinate the use of the Trimble scanner with Weekly Schedule
Put People First:
- Work with team provide recommendations on most productive way to layout a project area.
Challenge the Ordinary:
- Provide feedback to the coordinators on lessoned learned and improvement
Physical Demands:
- Lifting The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Working at heights
- Working in different weather environments
- Bending forward and down frequently
- Moving on hands and knees to mark points on floor or deck
Work Environment
- Must be able to work alone
- Must be able to travel between site locations in Cincinnati Columbus & Lexington
