JOB DESCRIPTION
Cloverdale Catholic School (CISVA) is seeking a dynamic faith-filled and highly organized Grade 7 Teacher to join our collaborative intermediate team.
- Valid BC Teaching Certificate
- Familiarity with and experience implementing the BC Curriculum particularly at the intermediate level
- Preference given to candidates with experience teaching Grades 68
- Practicing Catholic with a strong commitment to the mission of Catholic education
- Must be approved by CISVA prior to applying
- Plan and deliver engaging rigorous instruction aligned with BC Curriculum standards
- Prepare students for and support the Sacrament of Confirmation in collaboration with parish and school administration
- Lead and coordinate key Grade 7 events including:
- Grade 7 Camp
- Confirmation preparation activities
- Grade 7 Farewell celebration
- Foster a positive structured classroom environment with strong classroom management
- Build meaningful relationships with intermediate students demonstrating empathy consistency and high expectations
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff
- Participate actively in staff collaboration and school initiatives
- Contribute to extracurricular life of the school (athletics experience preferred)
- Model and witness to Catholic faith in word and action
- Demonstrate strong organizational and planning skills
- Be proactive flexible and solution-oriented
- Thrive as a team player within a collaborative staff culture
- Possess the ability to inspire leadership responsibility and maturity in students

On an on-going basis we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics non-Catholics new education grads and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply. Our major hiring season is in April for the following school year but we recommend that you apply now as we receive an influx of applications.
