Casual Relief Teacher - Expression of Interest

We seek to inspire and nurture confident optimistic and compassionate young people who are world-ready. To support us on this journey we are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Relief Teachers on a casual basis in both our Junior and Senior Schools.
Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver engaging high-quality learning and teaching experiences that meet the diverse needs and characteristics of students following the schools curriculum and lesson plans where provided.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with students staff and the wider school community through strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity of learning including providing feedback to classroom teachers on student progress behaviour and completed work.
- Establish and maintain a productive safe and inclusive learning environment with clear expectations and consistent classroom management.
- Promote a culture of high expectations for all students by modelling positive behaviour and encouraging participation and effort.
- Complete required documentation including attendance incident reports and relief teacher notes in a timely and professional manner.
- Supervise students during class time and other duties as required including assemblies worship yard duty excursions and school events.
- Model effective practice and support colleagues to implement
inclusive strategies that engage and support all students creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Willingness to be part of a well-established and collaborative team.
- A demonstrated ability to apply the principles of inclusive teaching and learning including the use of learning technologies and assessment to create a supportive and challenging environment in which students are supported in achieving to their potential.
- Proven classroom management and communication skills.
- An active interest in and commitment to the education of young children.
- Ability to conduct oneself in a way which develops personal respect respect for the College and the teaching profession.
Essential Qualifications:
- Current Queensland College of Teacher Registration.
- Degree/Diploma qualifications relevant to the position.
