The Opportunity

We are seeking both part-time and full-time Zamboni Driversto join our Ice Rinks Maintenance Team. As a member of our Rink Operations team you will play a critical role in maintaining the quality safety and presentation of our two full-size ice rinks. Our facilities are held to the highest standards in the region and we are committed to delivering an exceptional on-ice experience for every athlete guest and member who walks through our this role you will be responsible for performing timely and precise ice resurfacings throughout the day maintaining rink cleanliness and overall housekeeping and ensuring all ice maintenance equipment is operating safely and efficiently. You will also monitor compressor room systems and support routine maintenance to ensure optimal rink performance. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work value teamwork and thrive in a fast-paced detail-oriented environment.

Schedule:Full-time 35-40 hours per week; must be able to work closing shifts (4pm-1am) and at least one weekend evening

Compensation:$18 - $22 per hour depending on experience

Primary Responsibilities

Resurface ice at scheduled times and complete cuts in the ten-minute time period.
Perform regularly scheduled ice maintenance to ensure consistent ice-depth around all areas of the rink.
Edging chopping cross-cutting
Clean and maintain the Zambonis in immaculate condition
Perform daily weekly monthly and annual service on (2) Zamboni 552 electric and (1) Zamboni 550 Propane machines.
Change blades on Zambonis
Fix hazardous conditions on ice boards and glass.
Replace broken glass
Check all rink doors are closing properly
Fill out compressor log sheets at scheduled intervals. Note any inconsistencies and bring them to the attention of management
Check cooling towers for leaks and proper operation on a daily basis especially in the winter looking for ice build-up
Check roof-top air dehumidifier units for proper operation. Troubleshoot as needed
Perform work on the Rinks Task List. This will include all types of projects ranging from plumbing light electrical sheetrock painting fabricating furniture and/or equipment etc.
Interact with the customers inside the rinks and try to resolve any issues that may arise
Check for wrist bands during open skating sessions to ensure everyone has paid

Qualifications

1 year of Zamboni Driving & Ice Rink Maintenance or other maintenance / operations-based experience preferred
Ability to work days nights and weekends as needed
