What will you do
In this role you will be involved in the machining or processing of metal parts by operating B-axis lathes with multiple spindles and 5-Axis Mill-Turn centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate B-Axis lathes and or 5-Axis CNC Mill-Turn machines to perform task such as turning drilling milling part complete operations.
- Optimize set-up times maximize machine utilization.
- Understand specifications of the tasks by reading blueprints route instructions
- Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances
- Troubleshoot programs and make adjustments when needed
- Setup CNC equipment to complete full cycles to produce a high and low volume of parts improve productivity maintain offsets and inspect parts with a high degree of precision
- Follow the in-process part inspection process and notify the Supervisor/Lead on the occurrence of non-conformance.
- Communicate with managers programmers and quality personnel for assignments and resolve quality issues.
- Work safely and wear all required PPE for the duration of the shift.
- Document all issues to ensure a smooth transition of information between departments
- Check and perform preventive maintenance daily
- Schedule: 1st Shift Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

Were looking for engaged individuals who are adaptable to a changing environment take pleasure in learning and enjoy working with others.
Key Competencies:
- Minimum 3 years of machining experience which includes performing set ups.
- Knowledge of all required measuring equipment which includes calipers gauges
- Proficient math skills
- Ability to document machining procedures
- Knowledge of metals part-holding fixtures and lathe/mill tooling
- Experience with DMG Mori Mill-Turn and/or Brother multi-axis machines a plus
- Simple oral communication skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete simple logs and reports in English
- Physically able to handle heavy items including lifting pushing pulling and positioning components
- Work scheduled hours and comply with the companys timekeeping policy and all other company policies
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment
- Consistently stand for an entire shift
- Strong knowledge of machining practices and materials is a must as is general mechanical knowledge
- Willingness to be trained with a desire to learn
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Great work ethic reliable positive attitude
- Experience with Siemens and/or Brother controls
