What will you do

In this role you will be involved in the machining or processing of metal parts by operating B-axis lathes with multiple spindles and 5-Axis Mill-Turn centers.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate B-Axis lathes and or 5-Axis CNC Mill-Turn machines to perform task such as turning drilling milling part complete operations.
Optimize set-up times maximize machine utilization.
Understand specifications of the tasks by reading blueprints route instructions
Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances
Troubleshoot programs and make adjustments when needed
Setup CNC equipment to complete full cycles to produce a high and low volume of parts improve productivity maintain offsets and inspect parts with a high degree of precision
Follow the in-process part inspection process and notify the Supervisor/Lead on the occurrence of non-conformance.
Communicate with managers programmers and quality personnel for assignments and resolve quality issues.
Work safely and wear all required PPE for the duration of the shift.
Document all issues to ensure a smooth transition of information between departments
Check and perform preventive maintenance daily
Schedule: 1st Shift Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

What are we looking for

Were looking for engaged individuals who are adaptable to a changing environment take pleasure in learning and enjoy working with others.

Key Competencies:

Minimum 3 years of machining experience which includes performing set ups.
Knowledge of all required measuring equipment which includes calipers gauges
Proficient math skills
Ability to document machining procedures
Knowledge of metals part-holding fixtures and lathe/mill tooling
Experience with DMG Mori Mill-Turn and/or Brother multi-axis machines a plus
Simple oral communication skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete simple logs and reports in English
Physically able to handle heavy items including lifting pushing pulling and positioning components
Work scheduled hours and comply with the companys timekeeping policy and all other company policies
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment
Consistently stand for an entire shift
Strong knowledge of machining practices and materials is a must as is general mechanical knowledge
Willingness to be trained with a desire to learn
Ability to work in a team setting
Great work ethic reliable positive attitude
Experience with Siemens and/or Brother controls
