Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Sr. Associate Industrial Security in its Camden NJ locations. The Industrial Security Associate will develop and administer security programs and procedures for classified sensitive or proprietary materials documents and equipment.

This is an intermediate-level role requiring practical knowledge of the security field. The individual works under moderate supervision sets goals for their own work and communicates with internal and external partners to explain and enforce security practices. They monitor changes impacting their area of responsibility and contribute to operational goals that support departmental success.

Essential Functions:

• Research and implement federal security regulations maintaining knowledge and awareness of interdisciplinary compliance requirements (finance cyber information technology and trade compliance).
• Obtain rulings interpretations and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies.
• Prepare manuals outlining regulations and establishes procedures for handling storing retaining records and access by personnel or visitors to restricted records and materials.
• Assist the FSO in the creation management and presentation of security training and conduct security education training and security audits.
• Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
• Collects assimilates and interprets intelligence information and disseminates to the appropriate stakeholder or investigating authority.
• Defense Information System for Security (DISS) SMO management
• Process new employee security clearances in DISS.
• Track security clearance investigations and perform administrative support functions to include eAPP administration.
• Processing outgoing visit requests and certifications in DISS.
• Provide security briefings debriefings and awareness training for site personnel.
• Process necessary badge requests for L3Harris employees and visitors.
• Review the details and requirements issued in formal DD254 contracts.
• Review of required forms process and screen of security forms (SF86) of various background investigations and associated paperwork for accuracy.
• Implement security policy and direction consistent with the Company and Government regulations.
• Maintain the security database of classified holdings.
• Assist the FSO with annual DCSA security reviews.
• Partner with functional organizations and possess the ability to solve complex challenges independently in compliance with written and verbal guidance from both internal and external Customers as appropriate meeting business objectives.
• Serve as an Assistant CPSO if needed.
• Objectively and professionally conduct investigations regarding sensitive issues and violations of written policies.
• Work independently and irregular hours as required.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Rule.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• Experience working in a COMSEC Account with a large volume of transactions.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
• Knowledge and Implementation of the DoDM 5205.07.
• Knowledge and Implementation of the ICD 705.
• Knowledge of the E-QIP/E-APP Process and Justification Requests.
• Knowledge of Security Information Management System (SIMS).
• Knowledge of Access Control Systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word Excel and Access.
• Experience with Personnel Security preferred.
• Possess a high degree of organizational and communications skills both written and verbal.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role is $67000.00 - $124000.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
