Join our dynamic in-house legal team for the summer! As a Legal Intern atAloyou will gain invaluable hands-on experience working alongside passionate in-house legal professionals. This internshipprovides a unique opportunity for law studentsto see andassistwith the practical application of law in the intellectual property employment real estate corporate and litigation spaces in a high-growthcutting-edgebusiness environment.
The 8-week Alo internship program starts June8thand endsJuly 31st. Interns will be working40 hoursa week at our Beverly HillsHQ.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assistin researching and drafting legal documents including contracts agreements and memoranda.
- Support the legal team in compliance and regulatory matters including analyzing laws and policies affecting the retail industry.
- Help with reviewing and summarizing contracts vendor agreements and employee-related documents.
- Provide assistance in preparing litigation documents and supporting ongoing legal matters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR marketing and procurement on legal issuesimpactingbusiness operations.
- Assistinmaintaininglegal files databases and records.
- Participate in meetings with internal stakeholders andassistin offering legal guidance on day-to-day matters.
- Support with other ad hoc legal projects as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- Currently enrolled at a top-tier law school
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present legal concepts clearly and concisely.
- Proficient in legal research tools (e.g. Westlaw) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
- High levelof attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential company materials
The compensation for this position is $25 an hour.
