Within our Global Banking & Markets business Investment Banking (IB) works on some of the most complex financial challenges and transactions in the market today. Whether advising on a merger providing financial solutions for an acquisition or structuring an initial public offering we handle projects that help clients at major milestones. We work with corporations pension funds financial sponsors and governments and are a team of strong analytical thinkers with a passion for producing out-of-the-box ideas.
Within IB our engineers are responsible for building next generation digital solutions and automation for banking that consists of a set of well-integrated platforms and allows us to serve our bankers and clients better.
Who We Look For
As part of our global team you will work on various technologies and components as an application developer. Your role includes specification development as well as the testing and roll-out of new featuresfocusing on code quality automation testability and security. You will be able to contribute to our vision roadmap and world-class engineering culture while integrating business value and client experience within the team.
We expect a successful candidate to have excellent communication skills deliver high quality software and to be passionate about cutting edge engineering.
How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
- Manage multiple tasks and use sound judgment when prioritizing.
- Collaborate with global cross functional teams in building customer-centric products.
- Utilize exceptional analytical skills and ability to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions.
- Analyze existing software implementations to identify areas of improvement and provide deadline estimates for implementing new features.
- Establish trusted partnerships with peers product heads and executive-level stakeholders.
- Leverage technology to deliver business value.
Basic Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience).
- Comfort with Agile operating models (practical experience of Scrum/Kanban).
- Experience leveraging test-driven development methodologies.
- Team oriented; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Energetic self-directed and self-motivated.
- Must be passionate about technology and engineering.
- Must be independent and comfortable in a fast paced ambiguous and often multi-directional work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-4 years of relevant professional experienceusing a modern programming language (preferably Java).
- Experience in Financial Services or Fintech.
- Experience with microservice architectures (SOA).
- Experience with Kafka MongoDB Hadoop Cassandra.
- Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/Oracle/Sybase).
- Experience with AWS/Azure.
