Sioux City
UnityPoint Health Downtown - Sioux City provides coordinated clinic hospital and home-based care for patients in Sioux City and the surrounding Siouxland area. UnityPoint Health Downtown offers a full range of services and programs that includes a state-of-the-art surgical center 24/7 cardiovascular care and Level III emergency addition UnityPoint Health - Sioux City is also home to St. Lukes College which provides high-quality health system-based education to individuals looking for careers in health care.
- Closed ICU
- Specialists include: Cardiology Neurosurgery Nephrology General-Trauma Surgery Ortho Urologogy GI Pulmonology Infectious Disease Neurology and more.
- 24/7 hospitalist program is responsible for inpatients
- Overnight support from APPs
Responsibilities
- Average of 8-14 patients per day
- On-site 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with overnight call from hom 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Full-time is 182 shifts per year
- Flexible scheduling available ( 7 on 7off 10 on 10 off)
- Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
- Evaluates interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
- Patient-focused friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Critical Care
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
- J-1 waiver sponsorship available
