We are supporting a major UK nuclear infrastructure programme at Hinkley Point C.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-level engineer or technical professional to join as a Configuration Controller supporting the management and control of critical engineering documentation across a large-scale infrastructure project.
This role would suit candidates from civil engineering or technical backgrounds who are highly organised detail-oriented and interested in working within a regulated engineering environment. This is not a design role but focuses on document control configuration management and engineering governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support configuration control of engineering and project documentation
- Review and manage redline drawings and engineering changes
- Ensure engineering documentation aligns with project and regulatory standards
- Track and manage document revisions and change requests
- Support engineering and project teams with document accuracy and compliance
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate resolution with stakeholders
- Maintain configuration records and ensure traceability of changes
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across engineering and project functions
Qualifications :
Required Skills:
- 2-4 years experience in an engineering technical or document control role
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with engineering teams
- Proactive mindset and ability to work independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience managing engineering documentation or drawings
- Familiarity with configuration control or document management processes
- Experience working in construction infrastructure nuclear or regulated industries
- Understanding of change management processes
- Knowledge of nuclear or major infrastructure projects
- Awareness of the Hinkley Point C programme
