Configuration Controller

We are supporting a major UK nuclear infrastructure programme at Hinkley Point C.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-level engineer or technical professional to join as a Configuration Controller supporting the management and control of critical engineering documentation across a large-scale infrastructure project.

This role would suit candidates from civil engineering or technical backgrounds who are highly organised detail-oriented and interested in working within a regulated engineering environment. This is not a design role but focuses on document control configuration management and engineering governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support configuration control of engineering and project documentation
• Review and manage redline drawings and engineering changes
• Ensure engineering documentation aligns with project and regulatory standards
• Track and manage document revisions and change requests
• Support engineering and project teams with document accuracy and compliance
• Identify discrepancies and coordinate resolution with stakeholders
• Maintain configuration records and ensure traceability of changes
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across engineering and project functions

Qualifications :

Required Skills:

• 2-4 years experience in an engineering technical or document control role
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with engineering teams
• Proactive mindset and ability to work independently
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience managing engineering documentation or drawings
• Familiarity with configuration control or document management processes
• Experience working in construction infrastructure nuclear or regulated industries
• Understanding of change management processes
• Knowledge of nuclear or major infrastructure projects
• Awareness of the Hinkley Point C programme
