Location

Full-time in Austin TX. This role starts primarily on-site (office courthouses) with hybrid flexibility after a probation period for attorneys who consistently demonstrate strong productivity and responsiveness.

Note:

Must have 1 year of first chair family law litigation experience in Travis Hays and Williamson counties (local Austin-area family law experience).

Job Description

• Manage an active family law caseload involving divorce custody support and related matters
• First chair contested hearings and support trial preparation strategy and courtroom execution
• Draft and file pleadings motions orders decrees and settlement documentation
• Conduct discovery (requests responses document review) and coordinate case timelines
• Prepare for and attend mediations court appearances and client meetings
• Communicate with clients in high-conflict situations with confidence tact and steadiness
• Collaborate with senior attorneys while progressing toward full docket ownership

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
• 1 year of local family law experience including first chair work in Travis Hays and Williamson counties
• Comfortable with litigation workflow: hearings mediation prep drafting discovery and client meetings
• Reliable organized and highly responsive during work hours
• Strong communication skills with a calm empathetic presence in stressful situations
• Preferred familiarity with Clio Westlaw tools Microsoft Word/Excel and Texas family law resources
