What We Do
We provide nearly everything family pets need to live long healthy lives including:
Wellness and sick pet exams for dogs and cats
Vaccines and preventive care
New puppy and kitten exams
Allergy and pain management
Flea tick and heartworm prevention
Microchipping
End-of-life care
For the rare cases requiring surgery we partner with nearby practices to ensure seamless care. Clients can call or schedule online for convenience.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to support our veterinarian and enhance the client and patient experience from start to finish. This role is hands-on and client-facing with cross-training in phone support and scheduling.
Licensure is not required for this role. Experience and capability matter more than credentials.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians during exams and patient care
Safely restrain animals and monitor patients
Administer injections and oral medications per clinic protocol
Perform in-house lab procedures including fecal floats heartworm tests skin scrapings urinalysis and fungal cultures
Draw blood and maintain accurate lab records
Educate clients on wellness prevention and treatment plans
Manage patient appointments from check-in to check-out
Provide reception and phone support as needed
Clean and sterilize instruments equipment and work areas
Qualifications
Minimum age of 24
High school diploma or GED required
Five or more years of veterinary technician experience preferred
Strong understanding of animal behavior and basic veterinary care
Excellent client communication and customer service skills
Comfortable working directly with pet owners in person and by phone
Proficient with computers (Apple and Windows)
Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with accurate record keeping
Physically able to restrain larger pets when needed
Team-focused dependable and professional
Fluent in English
Flexible trainable and open to clinic protocols
Reliable transportation and weekday availability
