Job Summary
We are working closely alongside with Essex Police to assist with the appointment of an Investigation Support Officer on a 5-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 14.58 - 18.97 per hour
Summary:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Investigation Support Officer to support criminal investigations and safeguarding activities. The role involves working closely with statutory partners including Childrens Social Care to secure best evidence and ensure effective investigative outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Interview victims and witnesses and take accurate evidential statements
- Support suspect interviews and assess reliability of evidence
- Conduct investigative research and prepare detailed reports
- Coordinate CCTV review house-to-house enquiries and evidence gathering
- Act as Exhibits Officer when required ensuring evidential integrity
- Liaise with Childrens Social Care and attend child protection case conferences
Essential Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple investigations and work under pressure
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT systems
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Flexible approach to working hours including extended hours if required
