Centurion Health is proud to be the provider of medical and mental health services to the Georgia Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinical team at Helms State Prison in Atlanta GA.
This role is well suited for nurses who are confident adaptable and comfortable working in a structured correctional healthcare environment serving a diverse and high-acuity patient population.
Schedule
Compensation
$30.00 $35.00 per hour based on licensed experience
Night shift differential: $2.00/hour
Weekend differential: Additional $1.00/hour

QualificationsPosition Responsibilities
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing care within their scope of practice to incarcerated patients with a primary focus on infirmary patients and pregnant females under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RN) physicians and psychiatric providers.
Responsibilities include:
Medication administration and monitoring
Vital signs assessments and patient observations
Supporting prenatal and postpartum care plans as directed
Accurate clinical documentation and EMR use
Responding to medical concerns while following security protocols
Collaboration with custody and clinical teams to ensure patient safety
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (or ability to obtain)
Current CPR certification required
Ability to obtain security clearance including drug screen and criminal background check
