Position Summary
The Warehouse/Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily flow of goods in and out of the warehouse. This role coordinates shipping receiving inventory control and transportation logistics to ensure timely accurate and cost-effective operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented organized and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities
- Schedule inbound and outbound freight with carriers and vendors
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation (BOLs packing slips invoices)
- Track shipments and resolve delivery issues
- Maintain accurate inventory records in warehouse management systems (WMS/ERP)
- Assist to resolve discrepancies in inventory audits and cycle counts
- Communicate with suppliers customers and internal departments regarding order status
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and company procedures
- Assist with warehouse organization and process improvements
- Monitor freight costs and support cost-control initiatives
- Assist and support warehouse supervisors as needed
- Support Warehouse Manager
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 years of warehouse shipping/receiving or logistics experience
- Experience with inventory management and/or ERP system
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Outlook)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- Forklift certification (preferred)
- Must be able to perform the essential physical functions of the position including standing walking bending
and lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
