Role Definition
Concepts architects and integrates new products components or technologies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Researching and developing design parameters performance characteristics and technical specifications of new products and components.

  • Guiding the evolution of the technical design technical project planning performance analysis and development testing. Participating in supplier selection and capabilities assessment.

  • Monitoring exploring and testing new technologies materials and components to understand product or process improvement opportunities.

  • Constructing and fabricating prototype equipment; overseeing materials selection process optimization and process yield as well as reliability testing and failure analysis.


Qualifications/Experience required:

  • Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering Computer Science or Materials Science curriculum or at least 5 years of direct professional experience in lieu of degree

  • Desired Electrical engineering background


Key Skills Required:

  • Business Process Improvement: Knowledge of business process improvement best practices and ability to use methods for identifying evaluating introducing and implementing more efficient approaches to performing business related activities.

  • Planning: Tactical Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term) tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.

  • Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management methods tools and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.

  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.

  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches tools techniques for recognizing anticipating and resolving organizational operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Systems Thinking: Knowledge of the critical interdependencies among individual system elements that help and hinder performance; ability to plan and design solutions that synchronize resources to achieve business results.
