This is not a standard teaching post. As a Chemistry Teacher in this high-performing setting you will be working with some of the most gifted young minds in the country. The school has a track record of sending students to Oxbridge and Ivy League universities and the Science department is the engine room of this success.
The 8000 TLR is attached to an Academic Responsibility role which could include:
Leading the Chemistry Curriculum Development for KS5.
Acting as a Lead Mentor for STEM-focused university admissions and Olympiad entries.
Spearheading Interdisciplinary Research Projects across the Science faculty.

Leadership (TLR Role): Drive departmental standards oversee internal assessments and mentor junior staff or ECTs within the faculty.
Enrichment: Lead high-level extracurricular clubs such as the Royal Society of Chemistrys Chemistry Olympiad or the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge.
Practical Mastery: Ensure the highest standards of laboratory safety while delivering complex undergraduate-level practical demonstrations.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications: A first-class or 2:1 degree in Chemistry (or a closely related field) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience: A proven track record of delivering Outstanding results at A-Level. Previous experience in a leadership or coordination role is highly desirable.
