Location: New Jersey
Pay: $38.00 $42.25 per hour
Schedule: Monday Friday 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Parking: Free onsite
Interviews: 1st Round Virtual 2nd Round In-Person
Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Water Treatment Plant Operator to safely operate monitor and maintain a water treatment facility in New Jersey. This role is responsible for ensuring system reliability regulatory compliance and optimal plant performance in a team-oriented environment.
License Requirement
Minimum N-1 Water License issued by the State of New Jersey is required.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor water treatment plant systems and equipment
Perform inspections testing and routine preventive maintenance
Maintain daily logs of operations instrument readings maintenance activities and safety checks
Troubleshoot equipment issues and support reliability-based maintenance practices
Ensure compliance with all federal state and local regulations
Oversee contractors working within the plant
Maintain accurate compliance documentation and plant records
Identify safety hazards and support ongoing safety programs
Assist with inventory control and supply management
Provide guidance and training to staff as needed
Qualifications
Active NJ N-1 Water License required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong understanding of water treatment operations and regulatory standards
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. climb ladders bend twist and stand for extended periods
Willingness to complete required training and support additional shifts as needed
