Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Civil /Criminal Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate MUST be located in California. MUST have civil litigation experience. Ideal candidate can work hybrid .MUST be eager to work and hit the ground running to problem solve client questions and paralegal questions. Fast learner. Self starter. Must be a strong writer .Must have verifiable work references. Longevity in employment will be rewarded.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with the preparation and filing of legal documents related to Criminal defense and Professional licensing defense
- Manage case files ensuring all documents are organized and up-to-date within document management systems. Knowledge of Clio Act as time management programs or the equivalent Excel Word prior use of Square or similar billing payment platforms.
- Perform interviews with clients to gather necessary information for case development.
- Draft legal documents correspondence and pleadings with a focus on accuracy and compliance with court requirements.
- Review and proofread documents for clarity grammar and legal sufficiency before submission.
- Maintain effective communication with clients attorneys and court personnel regarding case status and requirements.
- Assist in trial preparation by organizing exhibits witness lists and other relevant materials.
- Support project management efforts related to ongoing cases or special projects within the firm.
Experience
- Previous experience in a
- Clerical or administrative experience is also beneficial.
- Proven paralegal experience .
- Familiarity with Professional licensing Defense and Criminal Law .
- Proficiency in using legal software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
