POSITION	Application Developer
REQUIRED SKILLS	Java Terraform (CI/CD Pipeline tooling) Back-end heavier than front SQL helpful as well

Role Summary

We are seeking a Junior Mid DevOps / Java Engineer to backfill an existing role. This position supports Java based application deployments to the cloud with a balanced focus on operations and development. The ideal candidate is hands on curious and a strong critical thinker who can investigate issues rather than just follow instructions.

Operations Responsibilities (50%)

Support CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance
Infrastructure setup and environment configuration
Code scanning and quality checks
Shell scripting for automation
Assist with cloud deployments and operational support
Infrastructure as Code experience:
- Terraform (nice to have) or similar IaC tools
Work within Azure DevOps (ADO) for pipelines and stories
Experience with Jenkins is a plus
Containerization using Docker
Exposure to automated testing

Development Responsibilities (50%)

Java application development (can be heavier on Java)
Front end exposure using React / Material UI
Development in Kotlin
Support Java applications being deployed to the cloud (not cloud first infrastructure roles)
Troubleshoot and investigate application issues across environments

Required / Preferred Experience

1 4 years of experience in Java development and/or DevOps
Experience deploying applications to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or familiarity with GCP
Experience working in Azure DevOps (ADO) for work tracking and pipelines
Familiarity with Jira
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Comfortable working across dev and ops responsibilities
