Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pre-Operative / Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse for a contract assignment. This role provides care to surgical patients in both the pre-operative and post-anesthesia recovery phases.

This position guarantees 40 hours per week. The schedule is Monday through Friday day shifts with shared call responsibilities including nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct pre-operative patient assessments and preparation
Provide immediate post-anesthesia recovery care
Monitor patients for complications and respond appropriately
Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered
Collaborate with surgeons anesthesia providers and surgical teams
Document patient care accurately in CPSI/Evident EMR
Participate in shared on-call rotation

Requirements

Current and active California Registered Nurse license
Minimum of 2 years of Pre-Op and/or PACU experience
Experience in perioperative nursing preferred
TB clearance completed within 12 months prior to start date

Certifications Required

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
