Job Title: Tax Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney
Job Location: Boca Raton Miami & Palm Beach FL or Hackensack NJ; or New York (Hybrid)
Duration: Full-time
Position Overview:
A leading private wealth practice at a large law firm is seeking a Tax Trusts & Estates Associate with at least three years of experience to join its growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work with high-net-worth individuals family offices and closely held businesses on sophisticated domestic and international estate and tax planning matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise high-net-worth individuals and families on complex estate gift and generation-skipping transfer tax planning
- Draft and review sophisticated estate planning documents including trusts wills and related instruments
- Provide tax planning guidance for closely held businesses private investments and family offices
- Assist with trust and estate administration matters
- Collaborate with attorneys across private wealth tax and corporate practices
- Support business development and client relationship efforts within the private wealth group
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school
- 3 years of experience in trusts and estates and/or tax planning at a large or well-regarded law firm
- LLM in Taxation or Estate Planning preferred with strong consideration given to candidates from NYU or Georgetown
- Experience working within private wealth groups at large law firms strongly preferred
- Excellent drafting analytical and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced collaborative environment
