This position is in our Ag & Trading enterprise where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination trading processing and distribution. We also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Advisor Rail & Export SBM will provide advanced knowledge to handle highly complex suppliers and fulfill transactions to deliver commodities that meet production requirements and specifications in terms of timing volume quantity and this role you will be a domain specialist to execute the purchase and sale of commodities from and to country elevators producers feed mills and processors.
Key Accountabilities
- Collaborate with transportation and logistics quality assurance customer managers and credit manager to ensure efficient execution.
- Plan purchases and transportation to maximize profitable use of stock and storage facilities.
- Independently work with the accounting and finance departments to resolve monthly contract and inventory valuations for short or long term strategies.
- Independently review analysis of freight opportunities in the marketplace conducted by more junior members of the team to maximize margin.
- Work directly with customers suppliers and business counterparts to meet their needs to develop customized business solutions for an overall strategy.
- Other duties as assigned
- Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum requirement of 6 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 10 years or more of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of US soy processing industry
- Experience with global commodity markets
Additional Detail
The expected salary for this position is $145000 $ varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location certifications education and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
