As a Consulting Associate Hydrogeologist (Entry) you play a critical role in helping senior team members to understand and address complex subsurface challenges by collecting and compiling data. Your work supports the investigation data collection and data compiling for assessing baseline hydrogeological conditions site conceptual model development risk assessment and risk management projects for mining sites. Your job contributes to risk reduction and regulatory compliance and helps advance ERMs mission of shaping a more sustainable future.

In this role you will support hydrogeological site investigations across a variety of project sites. From collecting highquality field data to assisting with groundwater flow assessments to contributing to technical documentation your work will directly support highquality project delivery and innovative environmental solutions. What Youll Bring
Required
Bachelors degree in hydrogeology environmental sciences or geology (with hydrogeology courses).
Eligible for Engineer in training (E.I.T.)/Geologist in Training (G.I.T.) registration in Alberta or British Columbia (B.C).
Recent graduate and up to 2 years of experience with strong enthusiasm for handson field assignments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel including managing organizing and reviewing large datasets.
Experience preparing tables figures maps and technical/ academic reports.
Foundational understanding of hydrogeology principles (e.g. groundwater flow aquifer types basic hydraulic testing).
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a consulting environment.
Ability to meet deadlines manage multiple tasks and perform effectively in a fastpaced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail in data recording and technical documentation.
Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to Health & Safety protocols.
Willingness and ability to travel up 70%.
Willingness to participate in extended field rotations including up to 2 weeks at remote mining or oil sands sites often in variable climate conditions.
Drivers License Required: This position requires a valid drivers license and good driving record with the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.

Preferred
Familiarity with coding languages (e.g. Python VBA R) and numerical modeling will be considered as an asset.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in extended field rotations including up to 2 weeks at remote mining or oil sands sites often in variable climate conditions.
Participate in field programs that may require travel to remote locations by truck AllTerrain Vehicle (ATV) or helicopter depending on site conditions and project needs.
Conduct fieldwork including:
Monitoring groundwater levels using manual measurement methods and dataloggers;
Sampling groundwater for field parameter measurements and laboratory analysis;
Hydraulic conductivity testing (e.g. slug tests stepdrawdown tests and constantrate pumping tests);
Overseeing installation of groundwater monitoring wells and recording subsurface lithologies using the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS);
Ensuring all field procedures comply with safety requirements quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) standards and project protocols.
Support technical and project management team on project planning activities including preparation and implementation of technical and health and safety plans.
Record organize and interpret field data; assist in preparing technical deliverables such as reports tables charts graphs and hydrogeologic maps.
Adhere to project budgets schedules and scopes of work and communicate proactively with the project team to support timely highquality outcomes.
For the Consulting Associate Hydrogeologist (Entry) position the anticipated annual base pay is $63000$73574 (CAD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education experience skills location performance and business some cases pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
